Pulp writers:

Charlotte Perkins Gilman

Portrait comissioned by Göteborgsposten for their series of genre definining authors written by journalist Mattias Hagberg

This portrays Charlotte Gilman Perkins who published the feminist utopian sci-fi novel Herland in 1915. I went all out Alphonse Mucha for this piece and decided to depict a scene from the book. Alot of fun to play around in other styles.

“Death? Why all this fuss about death? Use your imagination, try to visualize a world without death! Death is the essential condition to life, not an evil.”Charlotte Perkins Gilman
